Andrew McLeod is co-owner of Forefront and co-founder and CFO of Eyewell. ttings. Before joining the practice, he was an associate professor within the Department of Specialty and Advanced Care and the program coordinator for the Cornea & Contact Lens Residency at New England College of Optometry. He was also chief of the Cornea & Contact Lens Service at the 
NECO Center for Eye Care.

Dr. McLeod is a 2001 graduate of the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse with dual degrees in microbiology and medical laboratory science. He then attended the New England College of Optometry where in 2006 he concurrently earned a Master of Science in vision science and a Doctorate in optometry. He received National Eye Institute funding through a T-35 Training 
Grant to conduct research investigating the effects of overnight orthokeratology on pediatric binocular vision. In 2007, he completed the prestigious Cornea & Contact Lens Residency through the New England College of Optometry and received the Dr. Sheldon Wechsler Contact Lens Residency Award.

After completing his training, Dr. McLeod was the director of Contact Lens Services at Boston University Eye Associates within Boston Medical Center until 2012. He served as a clinical instructor of ophthalmology and helped educate ophthalmology residents in areas of optics, refraction, and contact lenses. He maintained his affiliation with NECO as an adjunct faculty 
member educating students and residents within his specialty contact lens clinic. From 2012-2014, he was the Chief of the Cornea and Contact Lens Service at MCPHS University and was recognized as the Clinical Faculty of the Year.

Dr. McLeod’s clinical and research interests include dry eye disease, keratoconus, and irregular corneas, specialty contact lenses, and myopia control with orthokeratology. He presents at local, national, and international optometric meetings.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the British Contact Lens Association. He is also a member of the NECO Alumni Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists.
